Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Yolked (the "Service"), a relationship compatibility app that lets you build a personal "yolk" — a profile of your values, personality traits, and compassion core — and compare it with other users. The Service is provided by Yolked ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms take effect on September 2, 2026 and apply to all users of the Service.

Yolked is owned and operated by Yolked, the legal entity responsible for the Service, its content, and the processing of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

To use most features of the Service you must create an account with a valid email address and password, or by signing in with a supported third-party provider (such as Google).

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom) to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at Yolkedinfo@theyolkedapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your yolk profile, and to keep it up to date. Impersonating others or maintaining more than one account per person is not permitted.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which permanently deletes your yolk profile, matches, and messages. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

The Service is intended for individuals who are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK) and who are interested in exploring relationship compatibility through self-reflection, values, and personality.

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow users below those ages. The Service is also not intended for anyone barred from using it by applicable sanctions or other law.

Compatibility results, matching, and messaging features are provided for personal insight and entertainment. They are not professional relationship, medical, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for counseling or therapy.

You retain ownership of the content you contribute to the Service, such as your display name, bio, photo, assessment answers, and messages to other users (your "Contributions").

By submitting a Contribution, you grant Yolked a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service — including showing your public profile and messages to the users they were intended for.

You represent that you have all rights needed to submit your Contributions and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights.

You must not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that impersonates another person, and you must not use the Service to stalk, threaten, or harm anyone. We may remove Contributions and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Do not submit sensitive information (such as government ID numbers, financial details, or health records) in your profile or messages.

The Service currently includes: yolk profile creation, values and A.S.E.C. assessments, compatibility calculations, discovery of nearby yolks within your chosen radius, mutual matching, messaging between mutual matches, and educational resources.

Features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, and may set limits on use or storage.

Some features — such as messaging — are available only between mutually matched yolks, and compatibility percentages are approximate scores for personal insight only. We do not guarantee matches, compatibility outcomes, or any relationship result.

If we ever offer paid products or services (such as a premium tier), those will be governed by additional terms shown before purchase.

We may send you service-related messages, such as match notifications and account emails. You can turn notification emails off in Settings, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

We do not sell your personal information. Any advertising shown in or around the Service is covered by our Privacy Policy, including your rights under CalOPPA, the CCPA/CPRA, and the GDPR.

If we run promotions or offers, their specific terms will be disclosed with the promotion, and we may withdraw or modify them at any time.

Disclaimers. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that compatibility results are accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yolked and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold Yolked harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Contributions or your breach of these Terms.

Intellectual property. The Yolked name, logo, app design, assessments, and educational content are owned by Yolked and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit them without permission.

Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to proceed locally.

Severability and assignment. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.

Termination. These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. We may restrict or end access for violations of these Terms, and you may stop using the Service at any time.

We aim to respond to legitimate inquiries within a reasonable time.

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or the law. The current version is always available in the app with its effective date.

If a change is material, we will notify you in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

In short: Yolked helps you build a yolk and explore compatibility with others. You need an account, you must be old enough to have one, and you keep ownership of what you post while letting us display it to run the Service.

Be kind and lawful in what you share. Compatibility scores are for insight and fun, not professional advice. We may evolve the Service and these Terms, and we will tell you when we do. We do not sell your data, and you can reach us any time at Yolkedinfo@theyolkedapp.com.
